The Service
BBSide helps businesses get online and helps people find them. Businesses build a public business page, list services, products and properties, take bookings and orders, and can accept payments through Stripe. Everyone can search businesses and listings on the BBSide map, book, order and message.
We keep improving the Service, so features may change, be added or be removed. We will tell you about changes that significantly affect a paid plan before they apply.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if it is higher, to create an account.
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Some things can be done before signing up, in a guest session. A guest session ends after a while of inactivity, and what was done in it may be lost unless you create an account.
- One person or business may not use several accounts to get around plan limits or free trials.
Business pages and your content
You own what you add to the Service: texts, photos, prices, listings and messages (“your content”). You give BBSide a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and adapt your content as needed to run, show and promote the Service, for as long as it is on the Service.
Business pages are public. Make sure what you publish is accurate and lawful, and that you have the right to use it, including photos of people and places. You are responsible for the offers, prices, availability and property details you publish.
A business page may be prepared by BBSide and handed over to its owner with a claim link. By claiming it, you take over the page as your own content and become responsible for it.
Bookings, orders and payments to businesses
Bookings, orders and stays are agreements between the customer and the business. BBSide passes requests and messages between them, but is not a party to the agreement and does not provide the services, products or accommodation offered.
The business is responsible for its offer, its terms and cancellation rules, taxes, and any licences it needs, including for short-term rentals. The customer is responsible for the details they give and for showing up or cancelling in time.
Payments to businesses are processed by Stripe under the Stripe Services Agreement, which a business accepts when it connects its Stripe account. BBSide keeps a platform fee from each payment made to a business through the Service, in addition to Stripe’s own fees. Refunds and disputes about a booking or order are between the customer and the business, through Stripe where the payment went through it.
Plans, trials and billing
Plans
BBSide is free to use with the limits of the Free plan. Paid plans raise those limits and add features, as described on the plans page. Prices are shown before you subscribe, including whether taxes are added.
Free trial
A paid plan bought on the web may start with a free trial, of the length shown when you subscribe. There is one free trial per account and per card. Stripe asks for a card at the start. If the card already had a trial, or is a prepaid card, billing starts at once; checkout says so before you pay. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged.
Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, and the card on file is charged for the next period until you cancel. Stripe emails you before a trial ends and before a renewal.
Cancelling and changing plans
You can cancel, or switch plan or billing period, at any time in the billing portal, opened from the plans page. When you cancel, your plan stays until the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan.
When your account moves to a plan with lower limits, nothing is deleted: services, listings, calendars and photos over the new limits are paused and come back when you upgrade again.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe tries again over the following days and emails you to update your card. While it does, a plan already paid for before stays active. If every attempt fails, the subscription ends and your account moves to the Free plan.
Refunds
Payments for a period that has started are not refunded, in full or in part, except where the law requires otherwise. If you believe you were charged by mistake, write to us and we will look into it.
Subscriptions bought in a mobile app
A plan bought through Google Play or the App Store is billed, renewed, cancelled and refunded under that store’s terms, and managed there. It works on the web too.
Plans granted by BBSide
BBSide may grant a plan for a limited time, for example with a business page handed over by claim link. It ends on its own at the date shown, with no charge, and your account then moves to the plan you pay for, or to Free.
The AI assistant and generated pages
BBSide can generate a business page from your description, and its AI assistant can answer questions and make changes on your behalf. Their answers may be incomplete or wrong. Check what they produce before you publish it, and confirm changes the assistant proposes before they are made: you remain responsible for your page.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to:
- Publish anything unlawful, misleading, hateful or infringing on someone else’s rights
- Offer goods or services that are illegal where they are offered or delivered
- Send spam or unsolicited messages, or harass other users
- Pose as someone else, or as a business you are not authorised to represent
- Collect other users’ data, or scrape the Service, without permission
- Interfere with the Service, probe its security, or get around its limits
We may remove content or limit, suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why unless the law or the safety of others prevents it.
Ending your use of the Service
You can delete your account at any time; here is how, and what happens to your data and subscriptions. Cancel any subscription bought in a mobile app in its store as well.
We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we close an account without fault on your side, we refund the unused part of a paid period.
Disclaimers and liability
We work to keep the Service available and correct, but provide it “as is”, without a guarantee that it is uninterrupted or error-free, or that information published by businesses and users is accurate.
To the extent the law allows, BBSide is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, nor for the acts of businesses, customers and other users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid BBSide in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights consumers have under the law of their country.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service changes. We will tell you about significant changes in the app, on the website or by email before they apply, and the date at the top of this page always shows the latest update. Using the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you don’t, you can cancel your plan and delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where BBSide is established. If you use the Service as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and may bring a claim in its courts.
Questions about these terms?
Write to us about these terms, your plan or a payment, and we’ll get back to you.
